
In our continuous effort to build a safer and more resilient Cagwait, Mayor Glenn Batiancila, REE once again leads the initiative by launching an organized ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ด๐ป (IEC) on ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ for all 11 barangays.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ | Today, the IEC sessions were successfully conducted in ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ป ๐ช๐ฒ๐๐, with the remaining barangays to follow in the coming days. This proactive activity aims to ensure that every Cagwaitnon is informed, prepared, and equipped to respond effectively during emergencies.
The IEC was facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by ๐ ๐. ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ง. ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฎ, ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ช, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by ๐ ๐. ๐๐น๐๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ ๐ง. ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ, ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ช, together with the ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ and the PNP Cagwait led by ๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ง ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ผ๐๐ฑ ๐. ๐ฆ๐๐ด๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป, Officer-in-Charge of Cagwait MPS. They were personally present to discuss and guide the community throughout the session. 2. Anticipate the Impact-Learn how disasters may affect your family, home, livelihood, and community so you can take early action.
3. Early Warning(Know, Understand, and Act)- Familiarize yourself with warning signals and alerts issued by authorities and know the appropriate response at every alert level.
4. Know Your Evacuation Area, Safe Routes and follow the Purok Evacuation Plan-Identify your designated evacuation center/area and the safest, most accessible path to reach it. Understanding and cooperating with evacuation protocols ensures safety for you, your family, and the entire community.
5. Have a Family Disaster Preparedness Plan- From emergency go-bags to household communication plansโbe ready before disasters strike.
6. Camp Coordination, Camp Management & Relief System- Know what to expect in evacuation centers and how relief distribution and camp operations are managed.
7. Law and Order (Preemptive & Forced Evacuation)-Learn the importance of early or mandatory evacuation to prevent loss of life.
8. Animal Evacuation & Climate-Resilient Farming- Guidance for pet owners and farmers on protecting animals and adapting farm practices to climate challenges.
9. How Safe Is Your House?-Basic tips on evaluating and strengthening your homeโs structural safety.
10. Information Management System-Understand how proper reporting and information flow help authorities respond faster and more efficiently during emergencies.
